CH/RE/SLCN Three (3) Security Guard each – NCCFS Annual Camps

Position Summary:

The Security Guard reports to the Prevention Supervisor and Camp Coordinator. The security guard is a camp focused, positive, friendly individual, who places the camper security as priority and is also willing to do duties to support the campground operations including washroom cleaning and other tasks as required. Day and night security are responsible for the overall safety of the campground and its campers. They provide a visual presence while maintaining a safe and secure environment.

NCCFS Annual Camps will commence July 2 – 28, 2023 and this year’s Community host will be Shoal Lake Cree Nation.

Competencies/Requirements

  • 1 to 5 years – security guard work environment

  • Schedule Planning; must be to do daily/nightly rotation.

    Must be willing to work from start to end of allotted schedule.

  • Must have the ability to translate and deliver in the First Nation language to engage people build relationship.

  • Sign-In Attendance Sheet.

    Must be reliable.

    Must have good Time Management.

  • Help Set-up/take down tents and with Equipment. Help at Kitchen Area and Help Elders/Staff when they require assistance.

  • Must fill criminal record declaration form.

  • Must work with Camp Coordinators.

    Must have the ability to work independently and prioritize appropriately.

  • Must be physically Fit. This position will spend 100% of time standing.

  • Participate in Preparation Security Meetings.

  • Valid Class 5 driver’s license and own Vehicle would be asset.
